Spring Rush Texas A&M

I need some advice please. i have been dying to join a sorority since i graduated high school but had to start out at Blinn therefore it wasnt an option. i have been accepted to A&M for spring 2014 and want to go through informal rush. How can i go about meeting hte girls? do sororities have events that we can go to for informal rush? do you have to have a personal invititation? I will be a junior next fal so am worried about waiting on formal rush since i will be older. I would love advice from anyone.
thanks!!

I would suggest contacting A&M Panhellenic to find out how to register for Spring recruitment...here's their website:

Good luck!

thank you, ADPiEE!
i will contact them. can you please tell me if the sororities only invite girls they already know, or if there are events to go to for the rush?

They can tell you everything you need to know. So call them - on the phone, not email, and ask all your questions of the Sorority Adviser.

Agree with contacting Greek Life. Some chapters have events, others invite already well known women. Just depends on the year/chapter total/# of spring graduates in a chapter/etc (I have been away for many years). My best advice would be to meet as many Greek women as you can, but not in a stalker-ish way :) and keep your grades way up. Try to get involved in student orgs on campus this year, too. Attend any spring recruitment events and make your decisions then. You can go through recruitment in the fall as a Junior if you don't get a bid in the spring - again make sure grades and activities are good. Juniors have a harder time getting a bid, but it isn't unheard of. Good Luck!
