Can sorority alums become active again?

So this is my situation:

I joined a sorority in 2010 and was active for 3 semesters. I then went inactive for my last semester and graduated from that college in 2012. I’ve just begun a second undergraduate degree with a different major at a different college that also has a chapter of my sorority. My question is: Can I transfer and become an active member of the sorority at my new school or am I prohibited because I went alum? I did a brief google search and found an old thread of Greek Chat where it discussed it and it said that although rare some alums had gone back to active status. Can anyone confirm this to be true?

P.S. My sorority is one of the 26 National Panhellenic Conference sororities.

Each sorority has slightly different policies on this situation. Your best bet is to contact your national headquarters and ask them.

You will have to find out your individual group's policy. Contact your EO.
