Random question... Has anyone with a custom night guard (for teeth) ever bought online?


I've had one in the past, but I need a new one, the new insurance won't cover it, and this new dentist wants about $800 for one! I was doing some online research and found some mail in home kits where you send your teeth impressions in and a dental lab makes them for you. Just wondering if anyone out there has tried one of these companies and how it worked out?

You don't even need to buy one online--they sell them at drugstores too!

I had one from a dentist that got a bit worn out. It's still wearable but I thought I could benefit from a new one, so I bought an at home kit. Although the molding process worked just fine, I didn't love how it turned out...BUT I think it was partially my fault. I don't think I lined it up to my teeth very well so while I think it did the job of protecting my teeth, I work up with some really really sore gums in one area. If you mold is correctly I think it would work out.
