Which badge do you have?
Just curious which type of badge you guys have.
I have the "Crown Pearl Badge w/Tiffany 5 pt Diamond". I also have the armorial bearing as a guard. Everyone in my chapter seems to have a chapter guard, I wanted to be different! |
I have the regular 14 pearl one. Lisa

14 Pearl
When I was initiated, our Pledge Trainer had was 1 short on her's so she made sure we all got our Pearls! Sometimes I wish I had 2 plain one as an extra.
|
lol, how can you be short 1 pearl?! Did it fall off?? :(

My sister mom gave me hers. It is a plain one with nothing on it, just the letters, but its cool cause my sister mom gave it to me...I was her favorite kid! lol she asked for the big one with all the stuff on it instead of a class ring for graduation....so she gave me hers....cool huh? and when I had my kid, i gave her mine, and I was going to let her keep it since I had to come home and all, but she surprised me and wrapped it up in red buff and green ribbon when I leaving

I have the "Crown Pearl" badge. I passed my gaurd and dangles to my little --no I wish I still had them. She is out of school too--I am half tempted to call and ask to have them back. hee hee hee!!!
|
i've got the all-pearl one with the diamond...i luuuuuv it! i also have the chapter guard with the 2 offices i have held on it (PR and new member). always makes for good conversation with new girls!
|
I have the Crown Pearl badge and I love it! It looks like one of my pearls is loose, however. I think I may have chipped a prong. Do you girls think I can take it to a local jeweler, or should I send it back to BPA?
|
I have the one with all pearls ... what is that one called again?? I know that I should know this but well I don't. If I can recall correctly, every sister in our chapter ordered the chapter guard with their badges, we've always done it like that - at least as long as I can remember!
I am looking into the different alum options for my badge & also possibly to upgrade it in the next year or so ... need to find a real job first!! ;) LiEP, Jen |

I bet sending it to your local jeweler might save some time and money. Who knows when you'll see it again if you send it to BPA! |
I also have the Crown Pearl badge, my chapter traditionally orders that one. What are the guards everyone else has? I don't think I've seen those.

Have you seen : http://www.burrpatt.com/alphagammade...s/AGDGua21.jpg ? It attaches to the badge and pins on next to the badge and "guards" the badge from falling off! THe pic above is of a chapter guard. I have a armorial bearing guard- kinda different. |
I have seen those! No one in my chapter has one, though. Isn't it funny how each chapter has its own different traditions, even about the type of badge you get?

"plain jane"--on purpose!
I have the plain badge -- on purpose!
Why? You will think I am a FREAK when you read this one! I have a 'personal problem' with wearing jewelry that does not 'match'. For example, If I am wearing gold then I won't wear silver ( I even have watches of each kind to make sure that nothing is off!) (Exception wedding band, which I plan to eventually get a platinum instead of gold to cover all of my bases!) This also goes for stones, I won't mix stones of different colors. So no rubbies with emeralds, etc. ( I don't want to look like a rainbow!) So, when it came to order mine, I thought. The plain one is best. I would only be able to wear pearls or diamonds with my badge, I thought, (since they are white, diamonds match!) I knew that there would be times in which I would not want to wear pearls with my badge (problaby most of the time!) so I decided to forgo the preaty pearl badges in order to be coordinated. Now that is a new one for you I am sure! I bet no one else has had such a weird reason for getting the badge that they did! Also am anal about wearing costume jewelry, I will every once in a while, but prefer not to! Call me the crazy jewelry AGD! |
