question about a quarterly article
in the last quarterly we got there was an article about a Gam who is a cardiac surgeon and invented some cool new procedure that took the place of another more risky procedure.....I lost the article, and I wanted to tell the nurses at work, cause we were all discussing the benefits of sororitys and all that fun stuff, I work on a cardiac floor, so I can't wing this one on my own
please help!:) |
i found the article you were talking about. It says:
"In traditional openheart surgery, the patients heart is stopped and the patient is put on a heart-lung machine. During MIDCAB, a three to four inch incision is made between the fourth and fifth rib to expose the surface of the beating heart. The surgeon then harvests a healthy artery from inside the patients chest wall and grafts it to the heart. This new safer procedure takes only two hours and the heart continues to pump the entire time. hope that helps you out. By the way, the Alpha Gams name is Mercedes K.C. Dullum, M.D., Gamma Phi-Georgia Institute of Technology. |
thanks!:D
