meet more sisters
 

I've been in my sorority for about a month now. How can I meet more older sisters? We pick big/little soon. I've met lets of people, but nobody I'm really close yet. Some people already seem so close, I feel like the odd one out sometimes! i'd like to get to know exec and some older members a little better

Does the chapter have a house? If they do go hang out there. Invite some of the memberes for coffee or ice cream. Open a line of communication and just go introduce yourself.

If you don't meet anyone before big/little, don't worry. You'll still get one. ;) You'll have plenty of time to get to know her once you are paired. The process happens so quickly, but not everyone knows their big beforehand. Trust me some people end up HATING the bigs they thought were their BFFs at first. It's okay to take time getting to know people.

You have a PERCEPTION that other girls are closer. They aren't necessarily any more connected than you are. It takes time. The way to improve your position there is to BE THERE. And do try to get together with girls one on one and in small groups. Find girls in your classes and get together to study. That's a win/win all over the place!

But I'm so glad you are asking for help instead of flouncing off because "those girls are mean."
