Pref Night Decor/Themes/Etc
 

Could someone please point me to any threads in which pictures of pref night activities are posted?

I don't know why, but I am really curious as to how they look in person. I've seen some boards on pinterest, but they look too formal to be true!

I saw some pictures last night of some of the Central Oklahoma pref night decorations. Just unreal.

But they look better than some wedding receptions!

There's nothing some cheap tulle and white lights can't make pretty! And the kicker is always (usually?) the dessert with the girl's name on it. They can't take it out of the house, so they give them something they have to eat!

Pref has gotten WAY better/fancier/nicer since we did it 25+ years ago, though...

It's girls decorating for other girls. What did you expect? :D

Those, pref decorations can be saved and stored for year to year, so those decorations often reflect several years' worth of budgets. It's not like we're spending a wedding's worth of budget for decorations every year.

While we don't know if those are all actually "real" pref photos, the general feel of those photos is about right.

Got it, we must have gotten different feeds from the search...90% of mine had greek letters wrapped in lights. Those weren't at my wedding. :p

The greeks don't have houses at Florida Gulf Coast and the sororities hold rush on campus in the ball rooms and conference rooms. They are allowed to decorate the rooms and for pref one year the ZTAs covered the walls in pale pink fabric and "quilted" it so that it looked like a Chanel bag. It was spectacular. I wish I had a photo.

Yes. You use whatever talents the members have.

And nothing in that set of pictures is too expensive, except maybe the table cloths and those can be reused each year.
