"Bloods and Crips" Party at Dartmouth
 

A Dartmouth local fraternity is evidently being criticized for throwing a "bloods and crips" party. Reportedly there was some involvement by one of the NPC sororities, too. See

Oh, yes. I was so proud to see it was the Tri Deltas involved. :(

But after reading a lengthy article about the Greek environment at Dartmouth (sorry, don't remember the link), NOTHING surprises me about anything that happens at that school. NOTH.ING. I'm not condoning it, but this was actually pretty tame compared to other stories.

The University of Texas has gone to great lengths to at least attempt to educate the greek community on what is and what is not appropriate. Here is there "just say no" list.

Dartmouth put me on their wait list and let these jerks in. Way to go Dartmouth.

EKU has this policy. It took all of the women banning together and a few choice words being slung back an forth unfortunately between Panhellenic and IFC, but the boys got the message, and stopped it. I think the party "CEO's and Office Ho's" was the last straw. However, the then Panhellenic president took a "hit" for it. She was shunned by the entire IFC community. Immature and unfortunate on the part of the guys.

Personally, I'd wear that as a badge of honor.

Alpha Delta is the fraternity Animal House was based on, so no big surprise, I guess ...

Yep! I hope for her if future occasions call for it, she keeps the same resolve and continues to stand for what is right, regardless of popularity.
