Arizona State Univ. Rush Week!
In about two or three weeks I will be going through the rush process at Arizona State University. Being in a sorority has been a dream of mine since I was literally in middle school. I've looked at many "greek ranking" websites to get a general idea of what to expect during rush week but I still have some un-answered questions;
I am not much of a partier, I in fact graduated high school this past May with a 3.6 so I am hoping to end up in a sorority that prioritizes academics. Are there any sororities at ASU like this besides Theta? Does ASU require letters of recommendation? If my godmother was in a sorority at ASU, what are my chances of getting a bid from that particular sorority? Also, could someone please walk me through the full process of rush and what qualities the girls generally look for in their potential new members? Thank You! I am very nervous and exited! |
Best of luck to you! Have you read the threads in Sorority Recruitment? There are many threads that will answer your questions. They do not have to be ASU specific. Rush works the same way at many, many campuses. Yes, recommendations are very important at ASU. Hopefully you already have those already completed... if not, you have work to do immediately.
FWIW, I don't know of a group that considers a godmother when determining legacy status. I could be mistaken, though. My best advice for you right now... STAY AWAY FROM THOSE "GREEK RANKING" SITES!! THEY ARE FULL OF LIES, LIES, AND AND MORE LIES with a big dose of BS for good measure. |
You need to edit your post ASAP to take out the name of the sorority you mentioned.

If it helps, here is a thread on ASU rush from last year...

All sororities value academics.
Letters of recommendation are a good idea. No one can tell you your chances of getting a bid from any sorority. We can only tell you that if you do not go through recruitment, your chances of getting a bid are zero. There are many threads in the recruitment forum that have great accurate information and answers to your questions. Good luck! |
