spring rush?
my parents said they would pay for my dues if I rush spring semester should I rush spring or just wait till fall sophomore year
|
first off, are you a girl or a guy?
Secondly, it depends a great deal on your school, and your school's rush schedule. |
im a guy
and will be attending ga southern |
I'd consider checking it out in the spring. Verify this with Greek Life, but I believe Georgia Southern's IFC holds a full spring recruitment in that all chapters take part and it's structured like fall formal. At some schools, not all organizations take part in spring rush. Should you wait until fall, my understanding is that it's not uncommon for guys at Georgia Southern to rush and receive bids as sophomores. I know quite a few who have, so you shouldn't be penalized based on class standing.
There will probably be fewer people going through spring recruitment, resulting in smaller pledge classes. Some see this as a pro, others as a con. Hopefully, you'll meet and get to know some fraternity members during this coming fall semester and they'll advise you on spring pledging versus fall pledging. |
New GSU Fraternity
Why not leave a legacy? There is a new fraternity coming to GSU in the spring of 2014 - Phi Sigma Kappa. They are coming in with a values based system. They are looking for leaders and founding fathers to start up this new chapter. This way you can essentially help build what you want!

There are two GSU's in Georgia? That's just confusing.

Georgia State and Georgia Southern.
Guess they forgot to check with you first. :p |
