GPA Help!!!
I'm VP Mental for my chapter (which is often called Scholarship in other chapters)...anyway, I just got our grades back for the semester and they weren't that great...We use to be on top for all grades, but we are slipping. Anyway, I need everyone's help...What does your chapter do to improve your grades, study habits, etc? Thanks!!!!

One thing we have done is to set a grade level that you have to maintain. Our nationals requires us our new members a specific amount of study hours a week. This usually keeps them in order but for actives we have a different approach. If an active is under the grade level that we have set, they have to attend study hours. They have to do this until the next semester. If they don't attend study hours, they may not attend and function that we are doing. As long as they study they can still participate in events. If they person fails to bring up there grades after the semester of study hours, they are put on probation. Probation means that you are not allowed at the house for any reason for the next semester. If you live there you have to move. It is strict, but it works.

Hi! Try looking in the Academics forum. I've posted several incentive programs that my chapter uses to help sisters keep high GPA's. There are several good ideas in that forum from other Greeks, too! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif
