1907 Chi Omega at UWisconsin
The university archives published this fascinating glimpse at Ava Cochrane, spunky 1907 initiate of Chi Omega's Nu Chapter.
Love it! http://uwmadarchives.tumblr.com/post...g-ava-cochrane |
It's wonderful. When I viewed it, I thought to myself that it really needs to be in the Chi Omega archives where it can be appreciated as a piece of your history. It just felt odd that the link to a Chi Omega song was taken at face value as something else entirely. Or it could have just been me.
|
Also, I noticed that the university archives did not include a hashtag for Chi Omega.

This is great. My daughter and I got a kick out of it. Dancing 40 times a week! Who says they didn't know how to party back in the day?!

What a treasure. I noticed that Chi Omega reblogged it-I am so glad they did. It sounds like Ava was someone that everyone would have liked. How sad that she passed away at such a young age.

I love this story...one nice thing about the internet is the ability to read things like this that you normally would never see.

Not a Chi Omega, but that was really a treat!
It's the reason why University Archives are a good place to send your scrapbooks/memories from College days whether they are Greek or not! They're really history and give those who come after us a glimpse into who we are and were. |
