LOVE Justified. I love how the show actually establishes the character of the bad guys, and you know who they are. So few shows are actually able to do that the way that Justified can. Plus, Timothy Olyphant is pretty hot in a cowboy hat :)

I also love 24... which is coming back next year! I'm hoping that the new season is just as great as the others. I still like season 1 the best, though. Dennis Haysbert - the Allstate guy - as the president was awesome.

Did I mention Top Gear?

I'm going through episodes of The Biggest Loser (I like to workout to them) but I want to start Deception. Of course, I only watch ANTM, Scandal, and Grey's Anatomy. Yes, the boring life of the woman with the Roku and no cable. :p

ASUADPi 07-28-2013 08:42 AM

KillarneyRose 07-28-2013 11:04 AM

Know what I forgot? My husband loves that show with the duck people. I can't think of the name but all they guys have ZZ Top beards and there's a character called Uncle Si. I could only watch for a minute but it seems like they were always killing things.

Sciencewoman 07-28-2013 11:21 AM

^^^ My husband likes that show, too -- Duck Dynasty

We both like and must watch:
Michigan Football...this is #1
True Blood
Game of Thrones
Grimm

If one is watching, the other will join in, but it's more random:
Pawn Stars
House Hunters (usually just the International version)
American Pickers, but I get sick of them looking for old signs and car/motorcycle parts
The various reality shows like Treehouse Masters, that aquarium show, etc.

He likes:
Anything and everything involving cars...anything
Motor Week on PBS. He records it.

I like:
Anything on PBS, except Motor Week
SNL
Castle
The Voice

Single, no cable.

I do/did enjoy Mad Men. Only watched up to season 3 on Netflix
Grey's Anatomy was good until season 4.
I heard about Girls being good but also Lena Dunham being a mess. I do give her props in starting/pitching her own show.
Right now, I'm all into Orange is the New Black on Netflix. It really could be called "the latest reiteration of making white privilege funny" but I really like it.
Also, I seem to be fascinated with prison shows: Oz, Lockup and Beyong Scared Straight I could watch for hours.
I want to try Arrested Development.
I used to love Greek. I have a soft spot for really cheesy, clean "afterschool special" type shoes. Lincoln Heights and 7th Heaven among them on ABC Family.
Social commentary type shows like VH1s "I love the 80s type series" are my fave. Girl Code is my guilty pleasure.

Shows I couldn't get into but everyone watched:
Lost
24
The West Wing (though I think I could like it)
Glee
Alias (it confused me)
Party of Five
Girlfriends
Any of the horrid Vh1 reality drivel out right now (Flavor of Love was ridiculously funny but it's a far cry from Love and Hip Hop)
How to make it in America
Game of Thrones (tried to read the books, too dense for me)

Nadia G's Bitchin' Kitchen
I love Nadia G and am liking King & Maxwell so far.

They usually cancel my favorite shows really fast. Pan Am and GCB are gone, but I have them on Amazon Instant Video at least.

My TV watching severely dropped off for a year or so once we stopped having cable. I've never have been an hour long drama type of person--more into half hour comedies, but I've made some exceptions and there's a few I'm adding to the list of what I want to check out.

With The Office and 30 Rock ending this year the only returning shows I'm still following are

Modern Family
Girls
Parks & Recreation
(although I'm only on season 2 of Parks & Rec, making may way through it!)

I've got a LOT on my list I want to check out:

Homeland
Veep
Community
Shameless
Arrested Development
and I want to give Mad Men another shot. I got really bored in season 2, but I know people love it so I'll give it another try.

Then there's a bunch of reality/competition shows that I don't follow religiously but will always stop to watch if I see it:

Pawn Stars
The Biggest Loser
Chopped

Oh God, I miss VH1 so much just for this. I will always stop and watch "I Love The..." no matter which decade it was or how many times I've seen it. I also love their "The Greatest" countdowns (i.e. "The Greatest 90s Songs of all Time" "The Greatest One Hit Wonders of All Time"...etc).

ADPiEE 07-28-2013 01:43 PM

love hearing all these shows--I had to go back and add some that I forgot!!
