This is an open message to the person who is cyberstalking me

You have been blocked from contacting me on GC.

Your calls and texts have been blocked from my phone.

You have texted me incessantly all week.

All of your emails are filtered to my trash can.

If you are reading this, that means you are taking EXTRA means to see what I am posting.

Do not contact me. We are not friends. I neither like nor trust you. Your behavior is disturbing. Leave me alone.

If it's that bad, it's probably worth involving the police.

It might be good to know that cyberstalking across state lines is a federal crime and can carry as much as 5 years in prison and $250,000 in fines.

KillarneyRose 07-26-2013 05:11 PM

Wow, Sen. I think Kevin may be onto something. I'm sorry this is happening to you

Sen's Revenge 07-26-2013 05:12 PM

I did not know that. Wow.

amIblue? 07-26-2013 05:18 PM

Damn, Sen. That sucks. Sorry you're dealing with that.

Kevin 07-26-2013 05:19 PM

Also, don't filter the emails to your trash, filter them to another folder marked "evidence."

Done.

That's not cool Sen. I don't get people who deliberately attempt to piss off anyone, especially good people like you. Hopefully this numbskull will cease whatever he or she is doing with the quickness.

Hang in there. :)

As some one who has has a stalker in person I am glad to here about this. I would like to ask what type of evidence would be needed, just the emails themselves?
Thanks DNP

Tulip86 07-26-2013 06:18 PM

Wow that sucks, Sen, hope it stops!

It varies greatly based upon what state you live in, and if it's federal, I'd just start with local law enforcement and find out what my options were.

I can tell you if you lived in Oklahoma City, we have free clinics put on by Legal Aid to help educate victims of stalking/harassment, etc. Before you do anything, go to one of those clinics if you can find something like that, or talk to a lawyer who practices family law. We deal with this sort of thing all the time.

Most local bar associations have a list of attorneys who will meet with you pro bono for 30 minutes. You could call them and ask if they have anyone on the list who practices in this area. And most womens' shelters have legal advice for free.

Listen to Kevin. It is the sign of a very disturbed person.

Due to domestic violence crossing stereotypical gender lines, many shelters now counsel domestic violence clients of both sexes and many ages. They ill help you to work on safety plan and make the contacts with the right law enforcement officers.

However, note that certain Southern States do not take any domestic violence very seriously at all.

Oh my gosh! That is horrible! Is it someone from here or someone who found you here because they already were stalking you? Do you know who it is? It's scary to think someone like that could be here and doing things like this! I hope you call the police and can get them arrested and they will stop!
