Yet another rec question
 

One of my daughter's best friends has just decided to go through recruitment at an SEC school and has asked me to help her obtain recs. I discovered that she has missed the submission deadline for one of the chapters. My inclination is for her to go ahead and send one anyway since she registered late. What are your thoughts? Thank you for your help!

None of them have hard and fast deadlines - I assure you! They really do want them earlier but go on and send ASAP and it's better than not.

Better late than never! It isn't like she is going to lose points by sending it late. It could make the difference between an invitation to teh next round & being cut early. Tell her to get them done ASAP!

Thank you for your answers. We're moving at warp speed to get them done! Rush sure has changed since I was in school and I'm grateful I found this site. I've been lurking for awhile and taking your advice on many things because I thought my daughter would be rushing at an SEC school, too. She ended up choosing a small Midwestern school with a small Greek community. Her recruitment experience will be much more relaxed :-). Thankfully, all of the ladies who were prepared to write my daughter recs have really stepped up to help her friend.
