Chapter Composites
Does anyone know of a website or a business chain that can put together a composite for a chapter that already has its pictures taken and does not need photography services, just aesthetics and putting it together? Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Any framing store in your area should be able to do it. It sounds like you just need the photos mounted, matte cut and then framed.
|
they need to be cropped and have a background added too because the pictures were taking in a university classroom, should i crop them on my own or would the store be able to do that too?
|
Take them to the framers. They will be able to do all of that.

thank ya

It depends on how much you want to pay. If you can do a good job yourself, I would. Your time is free; theirs will be very expensive.
For future reference, just hire a photographer who does this stuff. Unless you have VERY few guys, this is probably going to cost more than having it done all at once. Die-cutting mats is ridic expensive, and if you're talking 30 guys, that's 30 separate holes they have to cut. If you don't want to pay the big companies, see a local photographer. He/she will also be able to do this and hopefully give you a deal. But use a professional, not a guy who fancies himself a photographer. If you're pretty handy with software, you might try this http://www.micro-art.com/ And then maybe you can justify re-shooting the pictures with a decent background. |
I second the local photographer route. If anyone reading this thread is in the Oklahoma area or nearby, one of our alumni is a professional photographer. He does our composites every year. He's reasonably priced and he does a MUCH better job than the big national group we were using. If anyone's interested, shoot me a PM.
