Question about sending recs
 

Hi everyone, one of my dearest friends asked me if I could write a rec for the daughter of one of her good friends. I told her I'd be happy to do so, but I've never written a rec before and I want to make sure I do it correctly. I went on my sorority website and it seems that I can submit it electronically, but do I also have to send her picture, resume and transcript to the chapter? The PNM sent all of these things to me with an envelope addressed to the sorority. She's going to the University of Alabama, so really want to make sure I do it right. Thanks!

Yes, you have to send all that. You can probably mail or scan and email the whole packet. If oyu know any of your alums who normally do recs you could ask them.

You can also snail mail it, which might be easier if you're not familiar with scanning things and attaching them to an e-mail.
The mailing addresses are listed on uapanhellenic.com. Click on "Chapter Profiles" at the top of the page.
And be sure to use your sorority's official form, which you can usually find on their (inter)national web site.
