Mannnnnnn, what else?

Have you all seen this commercial from Igia introducing the REVOLUTIONARY  "Twist a Braid"?

Boy, I tell ya.

Also, this is NOT revolutionary, because I had a Barbie doll that had that SAME apparatus to TWIST her hair and that was BACK in the 80's.

Folks always trying to do what we do. LOL

What's next?

LOL, I saw that mess while I was home and just thought now WTH -- hot mess indeed. Another product just guaranteed to make people spend their money on some marketing ploy.

That "Twist-A-Braid" is some rancid mess... Every time I see the commercial it makes my nether regions itch.

Help a sista out here...I've seen the commercial and can anyone tell me why ANYONE would have a "twist-a-braid" party?....

MeezDiscreet 12-31-2001 02:36 AM

it looks like it would hurt and that hair would get tangled in there real easily

dst3800 12-31-2001 03:13 AM

Don't be fooled by the commercial...we all know that the people at Igia were NOT thinking of women of color when they manufactured that crap!! From the commercial, all I see is that it twists your hair, then twists the twists.....can we say KNOTS?!? Now you know a sista ain't trying to tangle her wrap up with that mess! And, if you want your hair braided, all you have to do is call Sha-sha from up the block to come down and hook you up! :D

I saw this ad when home for Christmas with my 9 yr old niece-- and it seemed to me it was marketed towards pre=teens--as she immediately stated--oooo I want that... and I thought - OUCH what a mess. :)

next ad up was britney spears' choreographers "dance like britney" video--she wanted that too. lol

CTFU. CTFU. CTFU at "nether regions itch," although I never have seen the commercial.

I stopped fooling with Igia products when they came out with the "home electrolysis" kit. Who in their right mind would try to do electrolysis at home. I'll tell ya who. My mother. That little flimsy peice of crap couldn't remove hair if it wanted to. Ever since she bought that, I have sworn off all Igia products. They will never get one red cent of my money.
