Anyone going to Institute this weekend?

If so, I'll see you in Columbus! It's my first time visiting EO or doing any type of DG leadership training. Looking forward to a lot of anchor spotting...

I wish I were (ATC track), but with a little two month old, I just couldn't swing it. I haven't been to EO since they "upgraded" the archives, so I'm jealous. There is so much fun stuff to see and find (your chapter square on the quilt, the brinks out front, the Presidents, etc.). The training should be fabulous too :) Have a great time!

Hope you enjoyed it. I couldn't go do to a conflict with my HS reunion (50 year!).

Congrats!

Institute was a wonderful experience. EO did a great job--very organized, practical content, great small group leaders, too. If anyone is an active volunteer in an alumnae group I'd highly recommend the book we used for the weekend: The New Breed: Understanding and Equipping the 21st Century Volunteers, by Jonathan McKee and Thomas McKee (more info here). It's been a great resource for me already, and the lessons apply for many volunteer situations, not just sorority life.

Glad you got a lot out of it. I ran into a bunch of DGs in the Atlanta airport on Friday and Sunday of that weekend (my reunion was in St Louis). So that was fun for me since I didn't get to attend the Institute. Am going to OTS in June so will get to see a lot of old friends then. Lordy, I need to retire!

NOOOOOO, you know you don't, you'd just be bored.
I LOVED LOVED LOVED going to OTS. I need to get back into it!

AA- this will be my 8th or 9th OTS - and Convention next year will be #15. I don't mind the free trips to them I've gotten - it's just the meetings I have to sit thru! HA!

I need to tell you my UAB "retirement" story.....
