Shooting at MIT
 

There's been gunshots on MIT's campus and a campus police officer has been shot :(

According to CNN, the MIT shooters were the marathon bombers. One of them is dead, and there's a citywide manhunt for the other. MIT is currently on lockdown - classes are cancelled, employees were told to stay home, and students were told to stay in their residences. Actually, the whole area is pretty much on lockdown - public transport isn't running, and people have been told to stay home and not answer the door for anyone but authorities.

Unbelievable. Just ... unbelievable.

Yeah, when I posted that last night, originally, they didn't know that. Crazy how this is all going down.

I have been glued to the TV all day. My daughter lives in Boston. Been in lock down all day. At least her boyfriend is home with her so she is not alone during this time.

Seems she won't have anything to worry about very soon, unless she's in Watertown on Franklin St.

Nope, she is not in Watertown. So glad it is over! Poor girl was like a caged cat being stuck in the house all day.
