Help!!!!
 

So every year the pledge classes for our chapter put on a Skit and Dinner for the actives several days before initiation. First, I was wondering if any other chapters did this type of event. Also, my pledge class has to put this on the week we get back from Winter Break, and don't have much time..or budget...to go all out. Does anyone have any good ideas for gifts that we could give to each active and some skits that we could do with limited time and money. We can't seem to pull this all together, but still want to show how much we appreciate all that each of these women has done for us this semester to make us feel welcome!:D

Gifts: Go to Walmart. Buy framing mats. Not whole frames, just mats. Decorate with markers, paint, glitter, etc for sisters (divide up the chapter- each pledge does 5 sisters or something, depending on size of chapter). Attach 4 squares of that foam adhesive stuff to the back. Voila- instant personalized picture frames, ready to be stuck to a wall or bookcase.

Skit: Do a Saturday Night Live parody. No real costumes (except Mango or the cheerleaders) and you can personalize it. Or do a "Chi Omega- This Is Your Life!" skit, showing each new member as a mystery guest (i.e. "Ok, here's someone from your past... she's the reigning Flipcup champion, highest GPA in the pledge class... do you recognize this voice?" and then have Patty Pledge talk from behind a curtain. It could be really cute if you did funny clues).

A fun idea for skits is to do an offshoot of a talkshow or a game show. You can make the theme anything you want. I worked at a summer camp where we had to do tons of skits, and we used the idea of a dating game. We just used stereotypical characters, but you could make the characters into parodies of the girls too.

A good place to find gift ideas if you're into being crafty is to just watch a little HGTV (Home and Garden Television). They always have crafting shows on there with all kinds of cute ideas!

Ok, I don't know how big your pledge class is or how craft you are...but what might be neat is to get t-shirts of all kinds: Your bid day shirts, party shirts, shirts that represent your sisters activities, etc... and make a quilt for them! They could put it out in your chapter rec room or hang it up..whatever! It would be something that all of them could look at and sisters for years to come would enjoy it!
