UCSB fraternities recruiting SBCC students
 

Im going to SBCC in the fall and I was told by somebody that some of the UCSB fraternities will let SBCC kids unofficially join and then activate them when they transfer to UCSB. What's the deal with this? Do you go through the pledge process as an SBCC student or do you have to wait until you transfer, and do you get all the perks of being an active like staying at the house or do you have to wait?

I would not do this. You could waste your time pledging for a group that won't give you full membership when you get to UCSB - in other words they just use you to DD and clean up after parties.

I mean, it could work out fine, but then again it also could not, and you would be screwed with no one to turn to (since what you did is technically not allowed).
