Taking an anonymous post off of that ranking site and using it as part of your news story? Seriously? Given that the allegations in that post are very serious and not mentioned anywhere else by anyone in an official capacity is absolutely unacceptable reporting. I never cease to be amazed at how ridiculous student journalism has become.

I'm actually pretty torn on this, because on one hand, I don't like to see gossipmongering, but on the other hand, if the allegations are true, the paper is doing the right thing by not allowing the U to cover it up.

Oh, I am fully with you on the second part, as if the allegations are true (and with suspensions by both school and HQ SOMETHING happened) however, there just have to be other ways to get the story out. Can you imagine if a student newspaper printed everything that was on that awful site? There would be enough to get us all shut down, and probably less than 1% true. It just sets up a slippery slope, not to mention completely irresponsible reporting.

Right, right...they probably should have tried to interview the woman who they named as making the accusations on FB, and gone from there.
