BBW discontinued scents
 

I work at Bath and Body Works this Christmas break and I just wanted to let you all know that some discontinued scents are being brought back. I know for a fact that Freesia, Coco Cabana and Honeysuckle are back as of December 26th. They are going to be in 16 oz bottles. I saw them tonight when we closed!

Oh yeah...and Vanilla Bean and Seaspray too, but that's all I can remember!

ohhh good post, I was wondering whatever happened to Honeysuckle, yea thats for the info, now I can go get all my old favorites :D

The last time I was at BBW they had little slips at the counter w/ a list of discontinued scents & their availability. There was also a toll free # to call: 1-800-518-3616.

I've just discovered Toasted Hazelnut, of course as it is being discontinued, so I'm planning to stock up somewhat. But I think everyone knows that nothing is "discontinued" permanently if customers complain enough. They see people selling the stuff for twice the price on ebay, and eventually they say "duh, if we bring this back we can make some $$$."

Oooh! Don't even get me started on some eBay folks who are the same kind of people who used to buy up Beanie Babies and scalp them. They blitz the malls here, grabbing up all the favored scents and then the only place to buy them is on eBay. For instance, I adore the creamy caramel candles but if I'm not at the store the day in October they come out, forget that.

One of my favorites is Water Blossom Ivy-I think they are discontinuing this scent. I hope not b/c it smells soooo good. I have about 1/2 of a teaspoon left and can't seem to use the rest of it b/c I know I will miss it.

Honeysuckle is my secretary's favorite scent. We laugh every year when B&BW "discontinues" it and then brings it back 6 months later. We've decided it's all a marketing gimick to get people to stock up on their supplies.

Honeysuckle can stay gone forever! You know how scent smell different on everyone? On my best friend (who ALWAYS and ONLY uses it), it smells like honeysuckle...covering the smell of vomit. I don't get it, but I'm ruined for life! LOL

i usually opt for more soapy, clean smells to the heavy candy/sweet/fruity smells of BBW...but I did like the honeysuckle, and Im glad you gave me the heads up. I stopped shopping there since they discontinued and now I will have to "cheat" on Crabtree & Evelyn to check out BBW again. :D

I keep trying to remember to tell people the 411 on this stuff, but I forget...Tranquil Sleep from the old aromatherapy line is the same as the new aroma therapy line's Lavender Vanilla. Stress Relief is the same as Eucalyptus Spearmint and Serenity is supposed to be the new Cedarwood Sage, but I don't think that one smells the same.

I will honestly tell you the things that I think are really good to buy. If I were you I would buy the Purely Silk lotion and body cream. They are awesome. Those are my top picks. Also, the Lavendar Vanilla pillow spray.

I don't use BBW all that much actually. I like it, but it is more of a thing I used in high school. I am more into functions of products now than the smells. Especially because I own a lot of real perfume now. I also prefer Aveda products for my body since the smell is not so overpowering. Also Origins. The salt scrub is a must have! (BBW sells some salt scrub, but it smells like the various scents and I think it is too overpowering).

Does that aromathrerapy stuff really work? Or does it just smell good? If it does really work, how does it? Chemicals? Spirits? :confused:

I remember taking a huff on scent called energy, but I didn't feel anymore energized. I also took a huff on a scent call tranquil, but I didn't feel anymore sleepy. And, I took a huff on a scent called sexy, but I didn't feel anymore horny. All noticed that it smelled good.

URG! My new co-worker worked for BBW for 7 years and told me I missed the sale of discontinued scents!
I absolutely LOVE Honeysuckle! She told me it will come back sometime in June...
I wonder if I wrote the company and sent a check if they'd mail me some? LOL!

I'm almost out of the stuff I bought last summer!
