APO at Howard
Brothers and Others:
An effort to recharter the Zeta Phi Chapter of Alpha Phi Omega at Howard University has begun. If you know of any students at Howard who are interested in APO and would be willing to put in the work to reactivate this historic chapter, please ask them to email me. We look forward to bringing the Men and Women of Service back to the Mecca. Rashid Darden, Extension Volunteer rashid01@hotmail.com |
For Real!?
Hey,
That's great to hear! I read about this on our "family" board where you posted earlier. It's good to see APO coming back to our HBCU's. Hmmm...maybe we need to send some Gamma Sigs up to assist-the Alpha Eta Chapter of GSS needs re-activating! *smile* Sisterly, gamma_girl52 Gamma Sigma Sigma~Celebrating 50 Years of Service~1952-2002 |
Hey Howard U!
Hi There,
Im Jen, and I go to GMU right outside of Washington DC. I was a pledge this past fall, and now im a sister in APO. Its great to hear that you guys are trying to start up a chapter at Howard. In the fellowship vp at mason, and if theres anything that we can do to help, just let us know. We're always there to lend a helping hand. Our website is under construction, but our pledge page is current, and is up and running. Check it out at www.gmu.edu/org/apo Well take care and keep in touch! :) Lots of love, Jen :) |
I remember when
I was leaving Howard U, the chapter had reactivated...that was in '92. The chapter was definitely geared more to academia than social greek life. Good luck in getting it reactivated. Howard is a tough school for new Greeks to get started.
