Drinking at Philanthropy?

Hi,
I really don't know what to do with this and any advice would be welcomed. A while ago one of the sororities on my campus held a LARGE philanthropy event (it's the biggest one on campus and everyone usually participates). One of the days of the philanthropy there's a dance competition that they host on campus. However that night, the sorority hosting the event was completely intoxicated the entire time. The girls announcing the show were slurring their words and were behaving in a drunken manner. The hosting sorority had their new members perform first and they were clearly drunk.
I was so upset that our entire Greek community on campus had worked so hard to support their philanthropy event for the week and they chose to show up drunk to their events. I don't know if this is something that should be brought to the Greek Life office or even the sorority's nationals, but apparently this is something that had been going on for years now and no one has done anything.

Is this something bothering you personally or bothering your chapter as a whole?

If it's bothering you personally, next year tell who ever is in charge of your chapter activities that you choose not to participate.

If it's bothering your chapter as a whole, let your social chair or president tell the sorority that your chapter chooses not to participate.

I'd assume clyde is a guy.

If the Greek life office/the sorority's nationals is too dumb to figure out the obvious, that's their problem.

If you feel offended by the sorority's actions, your GLO and/or you personally shouldn't participate next year.

I wouldn't worry about it. These groups have a way of self-destructing.
