Sheriffs First Bill
 

Apparently the Montana legislature is trying to put on the ballot for next year a "Sheriffs First" measure. Here is the text of the bill as passed a couple of years ago in the Montana legislature. http://www.motherjones.com/politics/...un-legislation. The gist is however that federal LEOs are required to request written permission from a local sheriff before executing a federal arrest or search warrant. I'm not sure how they think that this would be constitutional.
