Girls on HBO

Sorry if there is already a thread on this, I did a quick search but didn't find anything.

Anyone out there also obsessed with this how??? I'm just in awe at how talented Lena Dunham is, considering she writes, directs and stars in the show...and she's only 26!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The show is just so funny and creative and pretty relatable (for me at least--the characters are my exact age). I really enjoy it--it's kind of right up my ally as far as having a really funny leading lady (I adore Tina Fey, Kristen Wiig, Amy Poehler, etc). I wish the seasons were longer than 10 episodes!

I love this show too. It's pretty out there.

I love it too and introduced Hypo to it and she is hooked also. I have to say, I didn't really "get" last week's episode, but when I watch it On Demand, Lena does a little overview of the episode at the end and explains some of the reasons for things in that episode. Those are really helpful and interesting.

Yeah, the most recent one was a little out there!

I also have to say, I love Shoshanna. I wish they had more of her in episodes lol

It makes a lot more sense if you can catch Lena's explanation at the end of the episode on On Demand. She talked about how Hannah thinks she wants that lifestyle- nice house, husband, nice stuff, etc. but when she's actually faced with it head on, she realizes she isn't ready for it all so she freaks out. She also doesn't know how to end things so she just disappears. She said it all a lot better, but it made a whole lot more sense from that perspective.
