My early Christmas present... :D
 

Mr. AXO Alum and I received THE BEST Christmas present on Monday -- we are PREGNANT!! YEA!!!

Of course we only tried one month, so Mr. AXO thinks he is quite the stud :D -- too bad that was the first and last time for a while :D hahahaha!

Actually, I am quite shocked -- the doctor had to tell me 3 TIMES before it sunk in -- then I almost passed out! Unfortunately I had to go to the hospital for tests, and then through an ultrasound because the pain I was having made the doctor worry that it was ectopic. I have NEVER prayed so hard than those 3 hours of my life. I will say that we are truly blessed and thank God for keeping little baby safe! Now I just have to get through this morning sickness thing -- YUCK!

Anyway - I am anxiously awaiting the congrats and advice from you mommy's and daddy's out there -- this is our first so we need some help!

I haven't quite figured out the PM thing yet, so if you PM me, you better post it on here because I never check my Greek Chat email due to spam.

YEA! I get to be the first to congratulate you!

I am so happy for you. I know you and the Mr. have been trying for a while. I couldnt be happier. I know what its like to struggle. my sister and her husband (the VP of my chapter my NM semester) tried for 8 years and gave birth in June to Dylan Thomas. perfect in every way. I am so in love with that kid. i am spoiling him rotten this christmas.

Anyway, I am so happy for you. my advice to you from seeing it second hand, SLEEP ALL YOU CAN NOW. You wont sleep after the birth till the kid turns 18.

This child will make you fall in love with Mr. AXO alum all over again. So thats cool too. I am so happy you shared this with us and decided to include us in your good news. :D :D :D

I KNOW you are going to be an awesome mom. You have so much love to give a child.

Congratulations on your little bundle of joy. Here's a tip regarding morning sickness...jellybeans and if you wake up early and feel sick, eat some plain cereal like Corn Flakes or Special K with milk. I've never had a baby, but my friend swears that they worked. I hope that helps!

It is so neat to see new beginnings. Our middle daughter had our first grandchild about three months ago and, of course, being a very young grandpa (cough!) is really great.

Our youngest will graduate from high school in May and he will be taking off for college in the Fall, so there are lots of nice changes in our lives at the moment as well.

Passages.

As for advice...read a book or two, but don't take what the "experts" say as gospel. Every child is different. It will take a while to learn about your special little person. Enjoy the experience and just do your best. You will learn very quickly.
