what is the diffrence between local sororities and the sororities at universities?

A local sorority is an organization that is founded and exists only at that college. Other sororities are national organizations and are part of a conference like NPC, NPHC, etc. NPC, for example, only serves 4 year universities.

Sometimes. Some colleges and universities do not allow local sororities, some others have only local sororities and some have both national and local sororities.

True. I just didn't want the OP to think that the two were mutually exclusive, as they made it sound.
