Anyone else going to the Sugar Bowl????

Can't wait!!! New Orleans here I come. Any predictions? Or advice for the out of towner who's never been .....

I'm not going ($65 for tix that were impossible to get because they went on sale during finals? I don't think so!) but I may go down to the Quarter and watch it from there, just to party with everyone. Or I may watch it at home.

Its gonna be a great game. LSU is going to win :)

My advice to you out of towners that are going to the game is that you try to experience as much of New Orleans as possible while you are there. Definitely hit the quarter and things just outside of it and take in some of the sights. The game is going to be awesome. It will be great and you'll have a good time. Live it up!!!!! You'll be in the party capital of the United States!

My daughter and some friends got their tickets online for $50.00.
She will be staying with a sister's family. My Aunt lives outside Chicago, so we have a $1.00 bet going!!!

I'm going! My fiance is a U of I grad but I'm an SEC girl all the way. If it can't be Bama, might as well be LSU! :p

Well, I just got back from Mexico, and rather than having a nice little envelope with my Sugar Bowl tickets, I got a postcard saying that my order couldn't be filled. I guess the Illini ticket office oversold, and tons of people didn't get theirs. Even though I had an order in early, I don't get the same priority as people who donate to the school or pay full price for their season tickets instead of student prices. Anyway, I am really, really bitter.

cutetiger-just saw your question. All I know is it was an on-line site. A sister found it through La. links. Sorry, she hasn't been home too much so I haven't had a chance t get the details or site name.

I'll be there, too! Even though we are LSU season ticket holders, we decided to play it safe and ordered tickets on-line through ticketmaster right after the SEC Championship, too. That way were weren't all that disappointed when we got our rejection letter from LSU.

It will be almost as awesome as playing in Death Valley. I'm glad that we are not though. Can you all believe that they are predicting SNOW in New Orleans tomorrow night? GEAUX TIGERS!

It was a great game (considering we were playing Big 10) and a very "sweet" victory.

Wish I could have been there in person, or at least watching it with friends, but this crazy weather kept me grounded. It may SNOW! :eek:
