Alumni Panhellenic
 

Hi everyone! So I'm going to be rushing in the fall of next year, and I've seen a couple people post about getting recs from the local Panhellenic group. How do I go about doing this? Do they hold events? I'm completely ignorant on what the process typically is like.

It's best to get them from women you already know. Personal recommendations are always best. If you have networked till you can't any more, check into your local alum ph (NPC's web site can help you) and contact them. They may or may not have an information session. If not, they probably still process recs. They can tell you.

Some Alumnae Panhellenic groups will host an event for high school senior girls and their parents where you will learn about sorority life, sorority recruitment, what to expect, and how to contact alumnae for recommendations. It isn't a sign up for recommendations, but they will help you figure out how to contact people. I highly recommend attending if there is one in your area. Start contacting all the people you know-- friends, parents of friends, teachers, relatives-- to see if anyone knows alumnae in the sororities where you will be going to school and if they will put you in touch with them for recs.
