Fun Big Sis/Lil Sis Ideas...please!
 

Hey AOII's!

My name is Courtney and I go to Indiana University. We are finishing up rush during the first week of January...while the rest of campus is still on break!
Anyway, I was just wondering if you had some fun Big Sis/Lil Sis activities that y'all do that I can pass onto our New Member educator.

Hi AOII_Luv we're glad to have you :)

We used to have a kind of scavenger hunt for big/lil. The bigs made up clues (every girl went different places but they all ended up at the same ending spot), and had another sister drive the lils around. At each stop the lil would get another clue. All the bigs would be hiding waiting at the last stop. Also, usually the big would send instructions about what to wear or a costume and the bigs would be wearing matching costumes. When you found the girl that matched your costume you had your big.

Here's a couple Big/Lil revealing ideas:
 

1) We took our family colors and bought yarn in one of them and ran the skein all OVER the house. They had to wrap the ball of yarn until they found their big hiding at the other end.

2) Candlelighting. Each Big makes a candle for her little and singing slow songs, pass the candle and when it gets to the big, she blows it out and joins her little in place in the circle and gives back the candle.

Those are two I've participated in. (Along with the scavenger hunts listed above.

What about also each big writing a poem that revealed her little at the end. She could include the fun times they'll share together.

What about each family doing a skit that somehow comically revealed the big/lil match?

What about a puzzle piece? The lil gets pieces of a puzzle that she puts together to find out who her big is.

Just some ideas I came up with off the top of my head.

Welcome Courtney! Great to have another sister on here!
Not fair-ya'lls revealing was more fun than ours!! We did the standard list and then all the bigs were in the chapter room while the newmembers were in another room. One at a time a big would walk in to our room and go hug her little. Which was fun also, but not quite as exciting!! I love the yarn one though, that is so cute! And courtney, we are just full of ideas here, so always feel free to ask!!!!
