Oops and More

Hi irishpipes and others,

Oops, Bama Division:
“Greek-letter organizations were founded on the principal of excpetional schoalrship and the NPC sororities at UA recognize the importance of scholastic success. “

Useful Dates, Bama Division:
“2013 Fall Formal Sorority Recruitment at The University of Alabama is scheduled for Friday, August 9 through Saturday, August 17, 2013”

Both quotes are from, as of 4:14 PM CST 1/26/13:

Reminds me of the batch of resumes that I had to pitch because I misspelled "Magna cum laude" :o

And the batch of SGA letters to freshman parents I didn't pitch and mailed out because I didn't see the mistake in the signature:

"Director of Pubic Relations".

Then there's the catalog we got in the late seventies at Mississippi State that said on the spine: "Missississippi State University".

Earlier in the same UA letter it says:

"on occasion individual sororities will recruitment members in the spring semster."

Carnation, you still win with your letter. :)

There was an article not too long ago about an ex-boyfriend of mine from years past. The writer described him as a "pubic relations specialist". It took a Herculean effort on my part to keep from calling/emailing him.

My sister told me that once she recorded in a patient's notes that the patient was "feeling groggy". The transcriptionist wrote down that the patient was "feeling groovy".

Due to the Clery Act all colleges must post on their site a complete set of statistics about crimes on the campus. This is to be available for viewing by parents, counselors and potential applicants.

On the Notre Dame site earlier statistics (two years) are available after a search, but the latest statistics have been blacked out.
