Univ. of South Carolina AXO lost battle with cancer
 

Julie Tamborino, an AXO lost her battle tonight with leukemia. I'd say the entire student body of South Carolina knew about her because of the HUGE benefits AXO put on for her last year. Alpha Chi were great sisters to her.

Prayers for AXO and the Tamborino family tonight. Too many young men and women are going too soon.

As a parent of a childhood cancer survivor my heart breaks for this young woman and her family's loss. My condolences to her family and her sisters.

Also wanted to add that Julie was elected President of Alpha Chi last year right before she was diagnosed. Unfortunately she had to resign. I can't imagine losing a sister but the support coming from USC's greek community right now is comforting to all of us, especially AXO.

Poor thing. It's always sad to see such promising lives cut short.

My thoughts and prayers to her family and the chapter.

One of my AGD sisters was Julie's RD her first year at USC.

My thoughts are with the USC community, AXO chapter, and the USC greek community.
