Recruitment letters?
 

I was wondering about recruitment letters. What happens if I can not secure a letter? Also, does it make me look bad if I do not have one?

I think you're talking about recommendation letters. At many schools, especially in the SEC, letters of recommendation are absolutely, positively necessary. At some schools, they are an added "bonus" that will probably help you during recruitment, but they aren't absolutely crucial to have. At some schools, hardly anyone has letters of recommendation. It really depends on your school.

I wouldn't say it would make you look "bad" to not have one at a school where they would be considered absolutely necessary to have. However, you will almost surely see a lot more cuts early on than girls who do have them. At some schools, having letters of recommendation is crucial to having a successful recruitment.

then yes, not having a rec will make you look bad, as in, it may result in your getting cut from a sorority you like.
