Too Legit To Quit

VH1 will be presenting the MC HAMMER STORY on Wednesday, December 19, 2001.

Tune in to learn everything about Hammer. :p

Yeah, MC Hammer is trying to make a comeback! He was on BET's 106&Park the other day w/ his new joint. And yes, he has re-added the MC to his name! :D

Hmmmmm.........I had no idea he was attempting a comeback! I did see the advertisement while watching VH1 the other day. I will be sure to tune in:)

Hammer was even on 'The View' a couple of weeks ago.

I wish he would quit

I saw him on 106 & Park with his new video. It was awful. I wish he would go back to where he was for all of these years. Nobody wants to hear MC Hammer right now. His time has past.

Isn't he an ordained Baptist Minister now?
I can't lie...Let's Get It Started(Remix) with B Angie B...The BOMB!
But you are right....Sometimes youjust need to leave well enough alone....Remember the Pumps and a Bump Video......Like WHOA!

my thang is

what actor was so desperate for work that he wanted to play MC HAMMER? To wear those diaper pants, ugggh!

He could be come as famous as Denzel and I would still know him as the "MC Hammer guy" Just like Samuel and Chris Rock will always be known for Gator and Pookie:p

Can't wait to watch tonight!

QTE ;)

I must confess, I loved all MC Hammer's music back in the day. I even saw him in concert twice. I watched the movie last night and was singing along and wanted to do the dance steps, but never did learn them. I thought the movie was okay, but I think it missed a lot of stuff. The parts with Tupac had me kind of choked up. I wasn't expecting it I guess. I knew Hammer had worked with Death Row on that album, but I didn't realize how close he was to them all. Now I just need the Tupac movie and I'll be happy.

I didn't know that Tupac and Hammer hung out like that. It was also surprising to see that they got Hakeim from Moesha to play Tupac.
But, Hammer was on 106 and Park the other day...I was very embarassed...I even blushed. His album has been in stores for a month or so...who knew? It's called Active Duty, or something like that. He can still dance, but the songs he performed were...WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK! I wish him success, but sometimes you have to learn when to give it up. He made his millions, lost them...had his fame and is now part of the ol' skool rap album collection. But, he traded puffy pants for fatigues...he needs to just do some behind-the-scenes production and leave the rap scene alone now. OR, he and P Diddy could become a dance duo and go on tour. THAT, may be off da hook.

Happy Holidays!

I was shocked at the Tupac/Hammer/Suge "connection".

Why did ole boy's lens on his glasses look like 2 big windshields? Dayum, those were some humongous lenses.

I didn't know he had a new cd out, either.

Hammer was da bomb with Let's Get it Started and those songs on his first "tape". LMAO. Where was 2 Big MC? Oaktown's 3.5.7? I think Hammer should have played himself, especially for the dance sequences. Ole boy couldn't cut it with the moves. Poor soul tried, but it wasn't happening.

The dancers and actor didn't do Mc Hammer and his dancers any justice. They performed better in the studio. Now they know Hammer and his dancers had more energy than they did. I didn't like it, but I found myself watching it about three times because I was bored.

When I saw them making the video to Pumps and a Bump. LOL I thought about the first Pumps and a Bump video when he had on that tiger striped bikini. He was thowing (it) like it was no body's business. Then his wife made him come out with the second one.

 But dudewas stiff as a board, LOL, I really felt sorry for him trying to move like Hammer, at least they could have found somebody who could dance.

ClassyLady 12-27-2001 09:27 PM

I finally saw that movie over the weekend. It was entertaining to me. I was totally unaware of the Tupac/Suge connection. We knew he was on Death Row, but my sister and I feel that they embellished it a little bit to make the story more interesting.

Speaking of stiff as a board, does anyone else remember that aspect of the original Pumps and a Bump video. I would have made him redo it also. Young children don't need to see Hammer and all of his manhood like that.

I have not seen the new video that is supposed to be out...Is it like his old stuff...or did he try to get hip on us. :D
