University of Colorado Boulder Sophomore rushing

I am transferring next year to CU Boulder. I was just wondering how they looked to Sophomores rushing. I rushed my freshman year at my school now, but had to drop the second day thanks to the stomach flu. I have a lot of family that have been in sororities, so I would have plenty of recs and I do have a good GPA. I am not looking for a "Chance me", I was just wondering how hard it is to rush as a sophomore or if I should just not rush at all.

IMO, if you have an interest in Greek Life, you should never "not rush at all" unless you have a compelling reason (e.g. you were convicted of some heinous crime and even then there are always extenuating circumstances, right?).*

Try doing a couple of searches on google, entering "greek chat" and "CU Boulder" in the search terms. In the recruitment forum adpiucf has a comprehensive thread on recruitment that I recommend every PNM should read.

*NB: recently there have been a couple of late 20s PNMs posting here who went through recruitment and were released from the process fairly early on. The general consensus appears to be that (although there may be exceptions on a given campus, due to that campus's culture) PNMs who are past "traditional college age" generally do not have outcomes that result in membership in an NPC sorority.

You'll be fine. There will be a number of sophomores going through with you, and even some juniors. Most who want to will find a home. No worries.

Enjoy your time there! Boulder is a fun town. You will have the time of your life!

Be sure to post your recruitment story after the fact. :)
