has this ever happened to you?
Just wondering something... have you ever met someone that drove you crazy or did you have a bad breakup with someone that now everytime you see that persons greek letters you just cringe?
My boyfriend of three years use to date a girl for like four months before our relationship. For the first year the poor girl just couldn't give up and would call and leave immature comments on his answering machine after a night of drinking, or if she saw us out would just act annoying with her sisters trying to get his attention. Now the girl was only 18 and I was 20 then and I tried to be the mature one about this but after a year I had to fix the matter. But anyways I am not going to say her sorority but everytime I see those letters even if it is at another school I just think bad thoughts. Has that ever happened to you if so tell us the story :p This could be an interesting thread. (please the specific ABC out of it) |
Wellll-it was my own little sis! I don't know WHAT was in her mind, but she ALWAYS ran up to my honey and threw herself at him. I think she wanted to get his attention because he was soooo cute and his fraternity was full of BMOC's and just great looking guys. I was a little sis and she would ask how SHE could be one blah blah blah. Needless to say, I was a lousy big to her, but can you blame me?
As far as the other sororities- the DZ's, with only an exception or two, were really cute girls and very nice. They were much better flirts than any of the other sororities. They had a hold on the Pikes ( they were jocks and pretty cute as well). At the TGs, when a bunch of them came in, they would go straight for the Pikes and like a magnet, they stuck to each other the rest of the night. You could almost hear a moan from some of the girls. The solution? I married a Sig! |
I see where you're coming from...every now and again I'll run into someone that I really don't care for, and every time I see the letters of his or her GLO I think of those people. Even if the person wearing the letters is from a totally different chapter, I see them and think, "Oh, man..."

A really neat freshman girl was dating a guy in my ex-bf's house the past year. She and I are good friends. Turns out, the guy she was seeing raped her. She was very traumatized by this, and talked to my ex about it. (They were friends....) He told her he'd make sure it was taken care of in the house, because if it wasn't the whole house would hate her and make her life hell. She shut up about it, but at least 6 brothers of this house made threats to her. She turned them in and left school. Our college is a damn old boys club. They don't want any shame to come to the school, so they said they would "maybe" not let them have a pledge class b/c they covered it up and harrassed her. IMHO, this guy should be in jail and their charter should be yanked. Needless to say, I feel like puking everytime I see their letters.... |
Yes.....I won't go into it but there is one fraternity and two sororities that I always have those feelings about!!!!! I think everyone has been put in this spot at one time or another.

Yes! My ex cheated on me with a girl from another sorority, and now, whenever I see his letters OR her letters, I CRINGE!! And so do my Theta chapter sisters!

Whenever I see my ex's letters, I cringe. Sad part? He's marrying a girl that was in my house on his campus. Their wedding colors were exactly what I wanted!

My exboyfriend and I had a very messy breakup that dragged on for nearly a month. So we were in that icky grey area for a while and during this time there was this one freshman girl who would stick to him like glue at parties and even took him to her formal (which was the same night as mine, I had to take one of his fraternity brothers). She was just always there, and it was breaking my heart, she never backed-off. Anyway though now when ever I see her letters, whether or not it's her chapter my blood boils a bit. His frat however does not bring me to this same reaction since I have since forgiven him plus his brothers were the coolest during the breakup and were totally there for me.

Ugh..some freshman girls can be so dang pathetic! I'm glad I was never one ;) (well, at least that type)
I'm glad it all worked out for you tridelta4ever. You certainly got the best out of the deal! |
Re: horrible
Wow, that is a viscious reaction to an ending relationship . . . it seems to be true that "Hell hath no fury . . ."
