Chores you hated doing when you were a kid

What chores did your parents have you do that you couldn't stand doing? My parents had a cleaning lady clean our house ever other Saturday, so I never had to do much in the house. But, that didn't include the yard work. During the summer we had landscapers doing the lawn, but in the fall, we did all the work on the lawn. I hated raking the leaves with my dad. It's just that he had to have everything so perfect. Oh, and he didn't care if the the leaves were wet or dry. It was really awful after it rained. :(

Getting frogs or snakes out of the pool. I hate them. Sometimes I could talk the yard guy into getting the frogs out but he was afraid of snakes too.

Washing dishes. It was never ending. Drying dishes was a close second. I still hate doing both.

Yard work in Texas = Hell

Raking grass. Mom insisted that it be raked after every cutting.
And drying dishes. I'd rather wash than dry. Now I let them air dry in the dish drainer. It's supposed to be healthier!
Nowadays, I hate hate hate ironing. When I was 6 or 7, I'd beg to iron. Mom would let me iron handerkerchiefs and washcloths.
And finally, putting pictures in an album. We have boxes and boxes of pictures - and now flashdrives and flashdrives of pictures - unmounted in albums. I do not see the fascination with scrapbooking!

Cleaning up the dog shit in the basement.

Drying dishes. Washing them: fine. But drying?? Just let them sit on the drying rack and let nature/ God/ the Flying Spaghetti Monster work its magic!
Also making my bed. I still don't do it unless I'm having company who might see my room or if I've just washed my sheets (or tossed around so much in my sleep they aren't on the bed anymore).

LOL. I should add "cleaning up cat barf/poop left as a "present" on my bathmat.

Picking green beans in the garden. For some reason it always had to been done around 4 in the afternoon. I hated it.

I feel you. We had this dog when I was a kid that my mom was too lazy to take outside, so we kept him in the basement which was unfinished. Dude would piss and shit all over the damn place, down there. We would have to go down and clean the shit up. The washer and dryer was also down there, so when we would go wash our clothes, it was like tip toeing through a field of landmines (trying to avoid stepping in piss and shit) just to get to the washing machine.

Making my bed, just because I didn't see any point. I also hate vacuuming.

I hated taking the dishes out of the dishwasher. I still hate it. Don't mind putting the dishes in, though. Yeah, that's weird.

Yard work. My parents enjoyed the planting and pruning; I got to do all the weeding and raking. To this day, I despise plants and refuse to have anything to do with them.

This is mine too. Especially that first time in the spring, after a snowy winter when you couldn't pick it up all winter. OMG... disgusting.
