Sophomore who wants to join a sorority

Hey everyone, I’m a sophomore at Cal State Long Beach :D I know rushing and the whole recruitment already passed but I’ve been deciding if I wanted to join a sorority or not and finally I decided my sophomore year that I want to join. YAY! :D Unfortunately I missed it this semester :( but I was wondering when the whole process starts all over again?!

Have you looked at this?

You might try calling the Greek Life office to see if there are any opportunities (i.e. any sororities doing COB or Spring Recruitment) in Spring 2013. Otherwise you will have to wait until next August/September, from what I read on the website.

If you know of any sororities on your campus check out their websites and see if any of them have a contact person and send an email asking them when the next recruitment is. I'm in ny so it may work differently but usually theres 2 different recruitment times Fall and Spring. You should check out Spring 2013 recruitment. I was a Fall 10 recruit. And we recruit all the time, we have a fall class now but we are recruiting spring girls already! Good Luck. I hope this helps.

To the OP, please be advised that this post reflects only the circumstances of this person's organization on her campus. Most campuses/chapters do not "usually" hold recruitment both semesters.

For more information, go to your campus Greek Life adviser, or whichever office/administrator is responsible for overseeing Greek Life on campus. Good luck to you.
