Unexpected good movies...
Have you ever seen a movie that you just had to tell someone to watch. This movie was just 100% better than you thought it would be?
I have two: Slingblade ~~ I don't know if any of you have ever seen this, but it stars Billy Bob Thornton. Everyone kept telling me to rent it and I did, and was pleasantly surprised. Holiday Heart ~~ This is where Ving Rhames was a drag queen for Showtime. I must say, he makes an ugly woman, but the movie was good. Alfre Woodard won an Emmy for her role as Wanda, the crackhead mother. |
Scarface, the 1983 version with Al Pacino, Michelle Pfeiffer and Steven Bauer.
I wasn't particularly interested in seeing this. But it was straight comedy, especially the fact that all Al basically said was: "I'm Tony Montana. F@@$ you.":p |
Legally Blonde

I'd have to say the movies that everyone should see are:
The Women of Brewster Place Beaches Fried Green Tomatoes They were a lot better then I expected and I still cry when I see the first 2, even though I've seen them at least 6 or 7 times each. |
A knight's Tale was a movie that wasn't expecting to be good, but I really liked it. I think that everyone should see that movie.
