Since I am not a subscriber can you post a excerpt? What is the gate for?

It's "ornamental' -- looks like iron / wrought iron. Sort of old fashioned, like those found on older campuses around the country. I'd say it's a landmark or campus nicety.

Sorry -- I don't have a subscription either. Maybe some of the Arkansas men and women on GC can help out? Or possibly some Pi Phi(s) from that area?

I would love to see a photo. I was glad to read that it was an actual gate. When I first read the title, I was afraid it was a take off on some watergate type incident. Yikes!

The gate celebrates the Centennial of the Arkansas Alpha Chapter of Pi Beta Phi.

Late to the thread but wanted to gush about the new pi phi gate. It is truly beautiful and fits the campus nicely. I may be able to post a more detailed pic tomorrow.
