1999 by Prince. I've come to the conclusion that this only existed on my campus though because when I mention it to anyone else they look at me like

It Takes Two
Wild Wild West
The Electric Slide
The Cupid Shuffle
Cha Cha Slide

Hokey Pokey
Jump On It
Cha Cha Slide
Chicken Dance
Cotton Eye Joe

Maybe this thread should have a subtitle of wedding dance songs.... :p

There's a cheesy dance move to 1999? I'm curious, how does it go?

Trying to figure this one song, it got 2 girls singing. The lyric goes something like this:

I said hey ho, to the blah blah blah

or something like that and it's in Spanish.

I think you mean the Ketchup song.

Edit: and it looks like the dance they're doing is just a bastardized version of the hand jive.

does "cheesey" mean "awesome" in this thread?

*hanging head in shame*

what is the dance when everyone goes around in a circle (like a square dance type jig)? i mean EVERYONE on the dance floor goes around in a pinwheel - if you don't know it get out the way. it's a dance/upbeat song but very 6th grade gym class-ish feeling.

It's a lot like the Hand Jive crossed with the Macarena. Which is why when the Macarena came out, I was like "they so stole this." As I said though, this may be a local phenomenon.

Let us not forget the "Achy Breaky Heart"! Although I lean toward the Macarena simply because even the kids I work with can do it!
