Going into Fall 2012 USC Top Houses?

Hey everyone I'm rushing and would like to know what houses are known for being top houses at USC. Thanks!

Sorry dear, we don't discuss reputations, rumors, or stereotypes on GC. :-) Please browse, lots of USC (Southern Cal and South Carolina both) related threads! Keep in mind that all houses have something wonderful to offer!

I am going to introduce you a new term: Panhellenic.

This means thou shall not defame or promote a house by gossip or naysaying.

As a proud Trojan and the parent of Trojansl...if you are referring to the California university (as opposed to the University of South Carolina) let me say this: All houses have their strengths. This recruitment is really competitive. "Keep an open mind, your options" etc.

I hope that you write your recruitment story. Good luck!

ok thanks

hey thanks for the info, I have a question though, I'm a junior with two years left will this be an issue for many frats or do some frats like to take older guys as well?

Oh. You're a dude. My mistake. :) Not everything applies to men and women equally in the GLO world. Hopefully someone with Fraternity knowledge can answer.

It surprises me that, after two years at USC (during which time you could have been formulating your own opinions of the groups), you chose to come here to ask about reputations.

Transfer maybe.

2 things:

1) This is a forum accessible to the entire world. No one knows what USC stands for. South Carolina? South California?

2) If you're asking about sororities, they really frown on open discussions of rankings and tiers on this board and in general. It's kind of considered bad form. If you're talking fraternities, it's fine to ask, but I'm not sure anyone here knows anything.

My advice would be to find out what matters to you. If you're going to a competitive southern school and you are just now asking what fraternities are best, you're already out of luck as far as getting into a top house.

^^ Good point, IrishLake.
ETA: That was directed to IrishLake's comment about a possible transfer situation. Kevin snuck in there on me!

Go through recruitment and find out.

Yes though, this can be a factor.

Considering you're a junior and lack the social awareness to be using the word 'frat' on a message board, I'd say your chances of getting into a top house aren't looking great.
