Formal from the sister side!
 

So in just 11 hours, I'll be participating in my first party of formal recruitment on the sister side! I've done three semesters of informal recruitment, but this will be my first time on the other side of formal. And the nerves just hit me!

I know this is nothing novel, but I figured this would be a community that probably understands where I'm coming from—I don't want to freak my sisters out with my nerves, I'm on exec board now, I'm supposed to be cool and collected at all times ;)

Will there be ten chapters participating in formal rush this August? Is the party schedule now 10--6--4--2?

I believe so! We (SDT) are only participating in convo days, and then doing informal starting on Labor Day.

What did you guys do in the past? Strictly informal?

Good luck to you! Hopefully this will be a good compromise between getting yourselves out there so the rushees know they have an alternative, and not being overwhelmed by the huge number of girls at each party. Are you using the same party structure as the other chapters?

Fall 2010 & 2011, we only did informal, so none of our active sisters have been through formal on the sister side!

I believe we're using the same party structure? I'm not sure how it works in other houses, so I can't really compare, but we did some practice convo days with Pi Beta Phi and it seemed to be a pretty similar system.

I have to say, after making it through 12 straight hours of recruitment yesterday, I feel like I can do anything!
