Honeychile,
Dear Honeychile, My only daughter was just married, so I know how special that father/daughter bond can be. I wish you love and peace at this time, and I hope you can focus on the wonderful memories you hold in your heart. With warmest regards, PGD-Grad |
Major communication problem here. Honey's father actually died ten years ago TODAY! After receiving about 30 condolences on FB (mine was actually way down the list), Honey let us know the death wasn't recent. But it READ that way! I actually thought it had been just Honey and her mother (who died recently) for the past several years, so I really did read her status, as well as other comments being posted. So, I apologize for posting something of this nature. Honey said she's not going to allow herself to post anything on FB after midnight anymore! Apologies to all of you from me!

Thank you, Everyone!
I post this as a poster child for NEVER posting something when you're too tired to re-read what you just typed. Today is the 10th anniversary of my daddy's death. And yes, it was a horrible time, but with the comfort that our last words to each other were words of love.
Within the year afterwards, my mother adopted Buffy the Wonder Dog, then I moved in with her as she was legally blind. In October, it will be three years since she's gone to glory. My parents shared a love story that lasted 55 years here, and I'm sure that they picked up when she died. Buffy then lived with me until he died in March of 2011. So, should I seem a little weird at times, it's mostly because I miss the quirky, fun family I had, and am trying to establish that same quirky fun with my DH (it's working!). Thanks again for being so kind - only special people take the time to help someone at the time of sorrow, real or retrospective. <3 And BBelle, thank you so much for helping a sister! <> |
No problem at all. As I look at it, thoughts and prayers for a friend are never wasted.
