How does NPC keep track of everyone?
Just out of curiousity, how does NPC know who's in what sorority at what time, how long they lasted, etc.?
I read in the threads that you can't rush another NOC organization once you've initiated into one (of course) but it just seems like such a difficult job to know who is who and what they're doing. |

Also, with more Social Media, the Old Bitty Network is stronger than ever.
No, they're not going to plug your SSN into a database, and have it throw up a red flag that tells them you're not allowed to rush. Trust me though, whether you make it all the way through rush, or even through a new member period, SOMEONE. WILL. FIND. OUT. and you'll be kicked out of both groups. Just don't do it. |

If so, don't do it. |
It's easy to verify eligibility. Every college PanHel has records of who rushed and who signed bid cards and who accepted bids. I don't know if they keep track of initiations, but if Panhel provides the name of the GLO, the chapter or nationals can verify initation.
Don't do this, if you're planning on it. People will figure it out. To make it work, you have to count on NO ONE from your old school knowing where you are or what you are doing. You cannot count on that, especially in a world of social media. Connections exist that you can't guess. Here's a real life example: I grew up in St. Louis. I went to a very small school. A guy in my office went to St. Louis University. He grew up in Chicago. His BFF from his small Catholic high school in Chicago went to college with me. He was able to tell my co-worker all sorts of stuff about me when I was in college. Neither of us got our current job because of net-working. |
"NPC" does not keep track of individual members. The 26 member groups of NPC keep track of their own members.

In the world of FB, do you really think your current sisters won't notice you going through recruitment at your new school and rat you out to your new chapter? No one can keep secrets anymore. It all comes out eventually and when it does, it's not pretty!

Just to be clear, I'm not planning on re-rushing. I'm not transferring or anything either. A girl who just got terminated from my sorority that I'm still friends with is planning to transfer back to her home state and re-rush and I was curious about whether that was even possible. I know it's against the rules and that you SHOULDN'T but I was curious as to whether or not it is POSSIBLE.
I appreciate the faith (and sarcasm) from my panhellenic sisters though. Y'all are gems. |
