Games to keep brothers active in frat
When I was in college, the Pledges and Sophs and Juniors were always the most active, in and around the house. The Seniors (and 5th year Seniors) would usually fizzle out. What were some of the ways your fraternity/sorority kept these guys active (outside of parties)?
My frat leaned on fantasy sports games revolving around sports. Fantasy Football had its limits because it'd max out at 14. But we did a "betting league" that was great, specifically a College Football betting league. It was "fake" betting as you didn't bet actual money (fantasy sports). But I'd say 80% of our members joined it and it kept the older brothers coming around the house to watch the games. I think this would be a popular thing for the sororities too. Especially in the SEC :) Curious to see what other schools/frats did/do. |
The energy just dies out. Seniors and 5th-years just have other priorities, such as finding a job, which takes away from social time.
It's just unrealistic to expect everyone to have an even level of participation. Just make sure everyone's having fun, that brotherhood is being built, and the situation will work itself out in a sustainable manner. |
