Please please please READ THE SITE! Do a search, use Google to get more specific results on GC. There are at least 72659 threads on recs, where to get them, who can write them, how to find sorority alumnae, etc.

You need to improve your research skills if you plan to succeed in college.
This is from the very comprehensive General Advice thread stickied in the Sorority Recruitment sub-forum "SPONSORS, LEGACIES, REFERENCES, RECOMMENDATIONS AND MORE A Reference/Recommendation (“Rec”) is typically an official sorority form that is sent to the collegiate chapter of the sorority at your college by an active member of that sorority. The form includes information about your academic history, extracurricular activities, etc., and a positive endorsement by a member for you to be considered for membership. Sorority members can access the form via their sorority web site or quarterly sorority magazine." http://www.greekchat.com/gcforums/sh...ad.php?t=54403 |
No QFP? Awwwww.

It all disappeared just as I was replying. But don't worry nothing to write home about. To paraphrase it was the usual: "I don't know what recs are, no one in my family is greek. I don't know anyone is Greek. How will I ever get any? I searched the site and google and couldn't find any answers to my questions"

Hope she isn't going to a school where they are really needed. I and a lot of friends do recs every year -- very late in the game to just be getting started on them. :(
